Nursery Summer 2 Week 7
What a great year we've had! I would like to say a huge thank you for coming to the Nursery Graduation and Sports Day today. We are very proud of all that the children have achieved this year and wish them the best of luck on their next adventure.
We would also like to say a big thank you for all the generous gifts that we received.
Enjoy your summer break!
Nursery Summer 1 Week 6
This week the children have been preparing for their graduation performance which they can't wait to share with you! We have been discussing their achievements and what has made them proud. Also this week, the children have enjoyed water play, painting and playing with playdough to strengthen their fine motor skills.
Nursery Summer 2 Week 5
This week our focus story has been 'The Mixed-Up Chameleon.' The children have been discussing what makes them special and creating their own mixed up creatures. We have also been learning about 3D shapes and continuing to recap Set 1 RWI sounds. At the end of the week, the children had great fun at Brady Fest. They loved jumping on the bouncy castles, having their tattoos and facepaints, playing 'hook a duck' and dancing.
Miss Paige also brought her pet Chameleon in for us to look at this week which the children were fascinated with!
Nursery Summer 2 Week 2
This week our focus story has been 'Pirates Love Underpants'. The children have loved the pirate themed activities and have shown great enthusiasm towards their learning. The children have been learning about sea creatures, sorting and matching, floating and sinking and matching numerals and amounts. They have also been counting gold coins and we were impressed with this! We finished the week with a Healthy Eating Week activity. The children cut up their own fruit and spooned on yummy yogurt to make their own healthy yogurt bowls.
Next week we will be reading 'What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside'.
Nursery Summer 2 Week 1
Welcome back to Summer Term 2! We hope you had a lovely break.
This week our focus story has been 'Shark in the Dark.' We have been learning about sharks, pretending to play at the beach and we went on a 2D shape hunt in the garden. The children have also been recognising numbers to 10 and carefully counting one object at a time.
The children have been learning the special friend sound 'ch' this week.
Have a lovely weekend!
